Welcome to my website. I am currently a Labour City Councillor for the South West Inner City. There are many challenges for the Inner City over the next few years, lack of adequate green spaces, cutbacks in education, high unemployment in the current recession, unfinished developments, litter, anti social behaviour and many more. Recession doesn’t mean that we can’t progress as a community.
City Council agress to establish a Dublin City Farm At its monthly meeting of Dublin City Council, councillors unanimously supported my motion to establish a Dublin City Farm. The idea of urban farming is gaining popularity all over the world with farms in allmajor cities. We have lots of vacant land in Dublin, which won’t be developed in the short term. A city farm will regenerate the inner city at low expense and provide a valuable resource for the city. Dublin City Council should be leading the way on urban sustainability. Developing a city farm as the green quarter of the city is a key step towards this goal. *** Dublin City Draft Development PlanThe draft Dublin City Development plan is now on public display until March. The development plan will govern how our city develops over the next six years and now is your chance to have your say. You can view the plan by logging on to www.dublincitydevelopmentplan.ie. We simply have to apply new and more innovative solutions to our problems. I will work as you’re local Councillor to ensure that the South West Inner City develops in the interests of the people who live there.
